World War 2–Unit Study

The core of our study was the World War II workbook by McDonald Publishing.   As always, we did a LOT of reading.  We also watched a live production of “The Diary of Anne Frank” and had a wonderful interview with a survivor of Occupied Luxembourg.

We traveled to the VMI campus in Lexington, Virginia to visit the George C. Marshall Museum. Read all about our trip here.

  1. How did you like the WWII Workbook? We are going to study WWII next year as a full-year study in conjunction with a literature study of the Chronicles of Narnia books. I am building my own curriculum, so need a few extra resources.

    1. The workbook is for grades 6-9, but my 4th graderr did well with it. You could easily use each page as a launching spot to study individual aspects of the war. For $4.99 you can't beat the price. I'd definitely recommend adding it.
