Weekly Wrap Up - Feels Like Spring

The weather has been gorgeous this week.  The nights are still really cold (20-30's) but during the day we've hit the 60's and even 70's! My crocuses are popping through the soil, and I see the very tips of tulip leaves as well.

Monday Olivia worked at farm #1 for the morning and afternoon shift.  Lindsey didn't have any places to be all day, so she slept in a little and then spent the day in her pajamas working on school work.  She's realizing that reading Shakespeare's Julias Caesar isn't nearly as bad as she'd expected it to be.  I worked on laundry and house work, and then had a meeting at church at 7pm.

Here's a photo of one of Olivia's new horses.  I'll have get a photo of her standing beside the horse so that you can get an understanding of how big it really is.  HUGE!

Tuesday was Lindsey's long nanny day (7:30am-4pm).  She called me at 12:30, concerned that her oldest charge hadn't been dropped off from school at 12:05 like usual.  I sent a quick text to the Mom, who realized that she had somehow forgotten to arrange a ride home for the child, and he was still sitting at the school waiting to be picked up.   Olivia went to farm #3 from 9am-3pm.  They were able to get a lot of projects completed outside, as well as have time for a long trail ride.   After I dropped everyone off, I went to the building supply store to pick up paint for a couple of spring projects I'm planning on doing.  I also went by a local Mennonite owned store and picked up some jam and cheese curds, and checked out their Easter egg flavors.  Jiu-jitsu wrapped up the evening.

Wednesday Olivia worked the morning shift at farm #2.  Lindsey babysat from 8:30-11:30am.  The rest of the day was pretty typical, less running and things got done around the house.

Thursday Lindsey had a scheduling conflict.  She worked her nanny job from 8-11am; Olivia filled in for her at her other babysitting jobs from 9-11am and then Lindsey took over until 1:30.   Olivia is not a huge fan of children, but she'll do it when she has to.  I picked up groceries during that 9-11am time frame and then did the nanny swap.  The evening consisted of laundry and jiu-jitsu.

Friday morning Olivia worked the morning shift at her new farm.  While she was working, I took the van to the body shop to get an estimate on getting it fixed, from where the girl backed into us on January 8.  You wouldn't believe the amount of issues I've had trying to get this girl to take care of this accident.  It's amazing what tracking down the mother and getting her involved will do to speed up a process.  It goes in the shop March 22 for repair.  Lindsey works the afternoon shift babysitting, and will be home around 3:30.   Olivia has recreation league volleyball tonight.

I hope you all have a great weekend!

  1. I never read Julius Caesar; I think I only read one Shakespeare story in high school and that was enough for me. ;) Glad Lindsey isn't finding it as bad as she thought it would be.

  2. I like Shakespeare and inflicted my kids with many of his plays over the years. The poor dears. Glad you are finally getting your car fixed.
