I spent most of yesterday sorting through boxes of baby/toddler clothes for my annual yardsale. While I was working, Olivia confiscated one of my empty boxes. She drew a diagram on our chalkboard (and NO...I didn't think to take a photo of the drawing)....then built this...
Not to be out done by her sister, Lindsey (the lump sleeping on the sofa in the background) managed to work up a nice double case of pink eye while napping. Gotta love those ingenuitive homeschooled kids....yeah...
Olivia finished kindergarten today! She thinks she's arrived now that she's a 1st grader. After all, she's so much more wise and mature than yesterday. 
We'll use the next 4-6 weeks to reinforce a few areas and then start on 1st grade in mid-March.
Another milestone today, the girls are spending their first night away from home. My husband and I have to go out of state tomorrow, so the girls (and the dog) are staying with the inlaws until we get back tomorrow evening. I'm pretty certain they aren't bothered by being away from home...here is why.
We arrive at the grandparents house, we walk in and both girls shout "bye mom! love you!" and try to shove me back out the door....um, I'm not leaving yet...met with a disappointed "oooooohhh" in unison. About 10 minutes later Olivia comes in and says to me "I thought you were dropping us off and then leaving. Aren't you supposed to be getting groceries?"...um...yeah... At least the dog had the common courtesy to follow me to the door and look at me pitifully through the glass...dumb dog.
On a more serious note. Lindsey loves to sing (and talk, even in her sleep). Sunday she came and told me she had a new song to sing for me. I'm pretty certain it was a God inspired song; so I thought I'd share it here.

And I...... won't know their names.
As of today, we are officially out of debt, with the exception of our mortgage! Thank you Jesus!! Now to start paying that mortgage down!
I just had to share with the masses who read my blog (she says with a sarcastic tone).
After waiting for months the kids finally had snow!! This was one of those snows that the experts missed. I'm sure being a weather forecaster is a thankless job....but really folks, can't we try to have just some hint of accuracy once in a while?
It's a powdery snow, so there was no chance of a snowman...we tried, it was ugly. But we did have fun with sled riding and making snow angels. And the dog enjoyed it to...you'll notice her getting a free ride in one of the photos below. And for the record, we're doing school now...no snow days here!
