Another activity packed week has flown by us!! This is stage week for the spring ballet and we have been busy, busy, busy!! (I think busy is in the first paragraph of every one of my weekly wrap ups these days!)
Tuesday both girls had stage practice at the high school where performances are held. Thursday was a full night of rehearsal from 5pm until 8:30pm. I took a vacation night from work just so I could help backstage and be functional on Friday morning (my gosh it was good to sleep in my bed at night!)
Friday morning a select few of the students in the show did a special performance for a field trip for the city schools in our area. Lindsey was in this performance and so we spent several hours at the local high school..with several hundred 2nd grade students and a great deal of high school students. (A nice reminder of WHY we homeschool). Tonight is also dress rehearsal from 5pm – 8:30. “The Swan Princess” performance will be Sunday at 2pm.
In other news, on Monday we received a huge package of art supplies and art curriculum to review. I was FLOORED by how much stuff they sent and can’t wait to get started on this one.
We had a few t-ball games this week and Awana too. This was the last week of regular Awana…the next 2 weeks are grand prix and then the final ceremony of the year. Things are wrapping up and winding down….thank goodness!
