Operation Christmas Child

A big part of our homeschooling/lives is teaching the girls to be servants of Christ.  We try to give opportunities for service and outreach as much as possible.  One of the things we do every year is pack shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child.

This year I spotted something new, the Promotional Resources page on the Operation Christmas Child website.  My favorite item was an “All About Me” printable that your child can complete and tuck inside their shoebox.  I think the girls were as excited about this as they were shopping for goodies to go in the box.

There is still time to get a shoebox and fill it with items to bless a child.  However, I know you are busy and may not have the time to go shopping for one more thing.  Not to worry, you can shop on line and build a shoebox that way or you can donate funds on line.

If you are the type of person who likes a good challenge, you can always see just how much you can get into a shoebox.  As you can see below, you can really jam pack a box if you’re creative.

You can also go online, to find out where the drop off locations are in your area.
