Weekly Wrap Up–A Week At Home

Don’t let the title fool you, we were still out of the house every day this week, but it was for all of our regular activities!    Ballet it currently ramped up to six days a week for us.  Classes are Monday – Friday with Nutcracker practices most of the day on Saturday.  Piano is on Monday afternoon, and our home school support group meeting was Tuesday after ballet.  See, just a regular week, grins.

In honor of Veteran’s Day we went to our little town’s parade.  The girls always love seeing the Veteran’s.  I love watching my girls salute the flag and the soldiers and knowing that they recognize the value of both.

I decided a little rest and relaxation was in order, to make up for all the car schooling we’ve been doing.  I designated a spa night for the girls; painting nails and doing facials.   The facials began to look more and more creepy as they dried, and our girl night somehow morphed into a zombie attack…sigh.

Academics went well.  I’m so excited to see that the curriculum changes I made this year were good choices all around.  We’re almost finished our Industrial Revolution unit study, yippee!

Like most of the nation we had a 50 degree temperature drop earlier this week.   We’re in the teens during the day and single digits at night after being near 80…it’s an adjustment that’s for sure!

I hope you’ve all had a great week, and hopefully I’ll have more to share with you next week!

Linking up with the Weekly Wrap Up and Collage Friday.

  1. I love your spa day. :-) My older daughter often does a spa day for my younger girls.
