Weekly Wrap Up–Crazy Busy…Almost There!

The Nutcracker was wonderful!  Both shows went well, attendance was high and the weather was lovely.   All the girls looked lovely, and our guest artists were AMAZING!  I ushered and watched Saturday nights show, then floated from spot to spot during the Sunday performance filling in and helping out as needed.

Monday was the surgery that we’ve been working up to.   My day started at 3am.  The doctors said the surgery would be 2.5 hours tops…..5 hours into the surgery they call me from OR and say “it’s going to take about another hour”.   Not what you want to hear, but it is what it is. It all worked out well in the end, but what a long day!

Tuesday was a normal day, with an orthodontist appointment in the afternoon.    We even squeezed in grocery shopping and laundry, go me!

Wednesday, 9am, the hospital calls and says the patient is discharged and is waiting.  I make the hour drive to pick her up….only to sit for another 3 hours before they really DO discharge her.    Another long day.

Thursday was Activity Day with our support group.  Attendance was way low, but we still had fun.   This was my first EVER cookie exchange.   Nice haul, huh?

The girls have taken over a lot of the candy and cookie making this year.   I love to see them working together in the kitchen!

We have not had time to make our gingerbread village, or our applesauce/cinnamon ornaments.   I’m hoping for the weekend, but at this point, I don’t even care, there’s always next year, right?!

In case you don’t get back over this way next week, Merry Christmas to you!!

Linking up with the Weekly Wrap Up and Collage Friday.
