Weekly Wrap Up–Time For a Break

This week we finished up our World War I Unit Study (I’ll be posting about it next Monday).    That means this is the end of our 6 weeks on, and now we’re heading into 1 week off.   YES!!   Now, lest you think I don’t enjoy homeschooling, I do.   However I have a few bit items on my things to do list and those are scheduled for next week when I have a little more time to myself.

Lindsey had asked if we could make Valentine’s for some of the folks at the Senior Center.    I called on Monday and they were delighted at the idea, and said to plan on maybe 15 people being there.  I brought out the scrapbooking stash and the girls spent an an afternoon crafting, they made a total of 20 cards.

They worked a long time on their projects, and they turned out lovely.

When we took the cards over this morning, Olivia had a bad cold/allergy issue.  To be on the safe side, she stayed home so as not to put any of the seniors at risk.   Lindsey had such a good time.  She’s really good with the elderly.    She got a hug and kiss on the cheek from a 98 year old Hungarian man.   It made her day, and his.  They asked if she could come back and visit soon, so we’ll be adding that to her things to do list.

Linking up with the Weekly Wrap Up and Collage Friday.
