Weekly Wrap Up–Seven Weeks Completed

This was our seventh week of the new school year, eight if you count the week we had off in September.  Only 28 more weeks to go, not that I’m counting or anything, grins.

The biggest thing that happened this week is I’ve started exercising.  When I drop the girls off at ballet, I walk from the studio to our nearby park, make a lap and return to the studio.  The whole thing takes about 70 minutes, so it’s a pretty good hike.   On rainy days, or Wednesdays when we go straight to church after ballet, I’m doing exercise DVD’s.   The girls do the DVD’s with me, so that makes it more fun.  I’d like to say I’ve noticed a huge drop on the scale, but it’s too early for that.  I have noticed after 5 days of consistent exercise I do FEEL better, so that’s a big plus.

We were blessed with an unexpected free day last Friday.  I didn’t get to share it with you because I’d already shared my wrap up, so I shared it on Monday.   It’s nice to have down time, I need to schedule that in more often.  Here is my artwork that came out of that open day.

If you’re looking for a fun activity for your kid’s here’s a Kool-Aid Play Dough recipe I shared earlier in the week.

    1. I've been horribly remiss in taking care of myself since becoming a mom. It finally dawned on me recently that my life and health matter.

  2. I have taken to walking while my kids are in dance. I haven't noticed much of a change on the scale but my clothes fit better and I feel good. Keep it up!

    1. I'm doing a 5 week challenge, so I'm refusing to get on the scale anymore until that 5 weeks is up. Hoping to see some progress at least, but I do feel better.

    1. It's funny, once you start it's like you can't stop, but then when you do stop, it's like you can't start again. Crazy I know!
