Weekly Wrap Up - The Hot One!

Oh my word ya'll, it's been miserably hot here.   The humidity has been terrible, and the two combined have made for a sickening hot week.   Wednesday and Thursday saw torrential rains and severe storms move through in the evening, with several inches of rain falling in a 90 minute time frame.  Not fun to drive in, just saying!

As fate would have it, way back in May I signed Lindsey up for camp at the history museum for this week.   She insists "you're plotting against me".   While that wasn't the case, I truly did hate dropping her off each morning knowing she'd be outside working, in full costume a large part of the day in the heat.   Despite the temperatures, she had a grand time, and only got heat sick one day (ahem).

While Lindsey was away during the day, I took advantage of having some one on one time with Olivia.   We worked through the Passport 2 Purity program.   If you're looking for a low stress, Bible based way to have "THE TALK" with your early teens (or even pre-teen) I highly recommend Passport.

Weight Loss Update:
First let me say I'm really surprised at how well this is going.   We're all enjoying going to the Y.  We're working with strength training (weights) Monday, Wednesday & Friday and then doing cardio on the off days.   Additionally, the girls and I have been taking advantage of the basketball court and the racquetball room (for volleyball).  So, drum roll.....I'm down 6 pounds!

Here's a sneak peek at a couple of reviews that are in the pipeline.

  1. Glad you are getting fit together. And my goodness the poor little lady in all that dress in the blazing heat. I'm dropping in from Weekly Wrap up.

  2. She loved wearing the costume all week, but it certainly makes her appreciate the more modern clothing....and air conditioning!

    Thanks for stopping by!

  3. Your daughter is so cute in her costume. Your sneak peek looks fun. We are reviewing some different things this time.
    Blessings, Dawn

    1. I had to get away from the online math reviews for a bit, needed something fun to break it up.
