Weekly Wrap Up - Welcome 2019

We finished up our last Christmas celebration over the weekend with my best friend and her husband.   We always meet half way between our cities (we live about 2 hours apart), have lunch and then find mischief to get into.  This year we spotted a cute little place to do some photos with the Peanuts gang.  Too much fun ya'll.

New Year's Eve we went to our the New Year's Eve service at our church.   Service started at 7pm, and we were home by 9pm.  We came home and watched It's a Wonderful Life and then toasted in the New Year with some sparkling cider at midnight, and promptly went to bed.   It's a wild life ya'll.

New Year Day was pretty low key.  Olivia worked at the farm and I got caught up on some ballet bookkeeping.  We went to the in-laws for a last minute dinner....thank goodness there were no black eyed peas this year.

We started back to school on Wednesday, and Tom went back to work after being off for 11 days.   It was good to get back to routine.   We covered all of our subjects, except science.   We are way ahead there, and I just figured we'd wait add that back in next week.     After school we headed out to a Chinese restaurant for Tom's birthday dinner.

Thursday was our monthly chiropractor appointment, and then I dropped Olivia off to work at the farm.  We're trying to get a doable schedule worked out now that school is back in full swing.

Friday we wrapped up our lessons relatively early and we worked on getting the house cleaned and back in order after the holidays.   Lindsey is on hiatus with the museum from January through March.  In the evening we were off to our co-ed volleyball league.

In case you missed it, I posted this week about Upcoming Changes here on the blog.    One thing I didn't have listed there was that I'm going to add a weekly post called "Monday Momentum" where I'll tell you what is and isn't working for my weight loss journey.  The first post will be on January 7.

Have a great weekend!

  1. Well, your plans sound a bit more wild than ours. We played board games and headed to bed by 9 on NYE!

  2. Sounds like a perfect New Year's eve to me. We did about the same, accept we watched Mrs. Doubtfire. The only black eyed peas I like are in Redneck Caviar (with extra corn and peppers).

    1. We love that movie!! I only like black eyed peas when they are in 15 bean soup, because you can't taste them.
