Well Planned Day, Student Planner–Review and Give Away

Now that Olivia is moving into the middle school scene (GAH!), I’ve decided to start increasing her educational independence level.    In the past, I’ve been using a simple checklist for her.  However, when I was asked to review the Well Planned Day Student Planner I decided it was time to kick it up a notch.  Nothing like recreating a planning fanatic, grins!

The planner comes in either the floral print cover or the tech style cover to better suit your child's style preference.

The planner is pre-dated, this is VERY important, and is broken into two semesters.   There is weekly schedule section at the beginning of each semester. This is followed by a two page Notes & Reminder section and then a two page monthly calendar that allows your student to make note of any appointments, extra curricular activities and important family dates. The monthly calendar is then followed by predated (YES!) weekly assignment pages.  Each week has it’s own Bible verse and question and answer section.

Following each semester, there is a Semester Success page that prompts your student to note their favorite class, closest friends, fondest memory, favorite scripture, who or what they prayed for and my favorite “I discovered that God”….  I can’t wait to see what Olivia fills in for that one this upcoming year!

There is also a handy reference section in the very back of the planner.  It covers parts of speech, punctuation and capitalization rules, conversion tables, a U.S. map, listing of the U.S. Presidents, wars, governmental branches, a world map, the solar system and a space travel/missions page.

I love the way the planner is laid out.  The color coded months are fun, and keep the planner fresh and new each month.   Olivia likes the little graphics, and her doodling will blend in nicely.  This is a great tool to help your students take more responsibility for their school work and activities, and train them to be good stewards of their time.
