Weekly Wrap Up–Break Week

This was our first break in our new 6 weeks on – 1 week off schedule.  Why didn’t I do this a long time ago?

On Monday we had Lindsey’s yearly checkup followed by a trip to the “chicken store” to stock our freezer.  We can home and worked on our first lesson for a See the Light product review (coming in another 2 weeks).  This was followed by Lindsey’s piano lesson.   The rest of the day was laundry and house work.

Tuesday the girls and I took on the arduous task of exchanging summer wardrobes for winter ones.    I have never seen such a pile of clothes in all my life!   Lindsey grows a lot slower than Olivia, so she’s on the same wardrobe she’s been in the last few years.  We worked on the second lesson on See the Light.

Wednesday I spent the day organizing our 6 week unit (Jamestown to Plymouth).   We completed our third lesson on See the Light, only one more to go!  I dropped the girls off at Awana and went to Wal-mart to go grocery shopping.   This is where the week took a drastic turn for the worse.

Apparently, someone who had used the cart before me had strep.  This is the only answer I can come up with to explain why on Thursday I woke up, too sick to get out of bed and unable to swallow.  By Friday I crawled to the doctor to confirm that yes, it was strep and a pretty bad case of it.  So I’m on 1750mg of antibiotics a day for 10 days.  Since the husband and kids didn’t have any symptoms, and we’d all been to all the same places, with the exception of Wal-mart, the doctor agrees that was probably where I picked it up.

I do have photos of this week, but I’m still not feeling well and am heading back to bed.  I may update with photos later.
