Weekly Wrap Up–What Was I Thinking?

It’s the week before Christmas, and I’ve spent the week preparing for a three hour Christmas VBS at our church tomorrow.   This has been a huge undertaking, and running it back to back with Nutcracker was not the best course of action, but we’re in the home stretch now and I have at least 24 eager kids looking to me for a fun filled day.  If I survive tomorrow, then I can start preparing for Christmas….

We had a semi-light school week.  We didn’t work on spelling or language arts at all.   We did focus on math and finished up the second part of our Revolutionary War this week.  We learned about some famous women from the war, and the girls were especially intrigued by the female spies.

Thursday was our monthly Activity Day meeting.   I’m not sure why we bother to have a December meeting, few people, including teachers show up or even call to say they aren’t coming.  One of my biggest pet peeves is people not honoring their commitments, and this has been the week for it, sigh.

Lindsey attended basketball camp today.   She loves to play basketball and takes every opportunity she can to get in more practice.   She even paid for today’s camp out of her own money!

This would be a much more interesting post if there were photos, and there are…but the chances of them getting posted anytime soon are slim to none.

Have a very Merry Christmas!

  1. Do you have a particular book that you're using to learn about female spies? My girls loved Girls Who Rocked the World although there weren't many spy in that collection.
