Peppermint Play Dough

With Christmas fast approaching, you may very well need a little project to keep the kidlets occupied while you work on some bigger projects.   I have just the thing you need, Peppermint Play Dough!

This recipe makes a very sweet, scented dough that will delight the kids, and it is edible, so you don’t have to worry about them playing with it unsupervised.   Although, you may have to deal with some sugar buzz issues if they eat too much of it. Consider yourself warned.

Here’s what you’ll need:

1/3 cup light corn syrup
1/4 cup margarine or butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. peppermint extract
1 lb. confectioner’s sugar
edible glitter (optional)

Mix all the ingredients together, and then let the kids have at it.  You could separate the dough and add different food colors, but I like to leave it white and sparkly like snow.
