Weekly Wrap Up - The Smoother One

I officially wrapped up my birthday celebration on Saturday with my BFF.   We had a wonderful brunch and then putted around looking at consignment stores, shopping and having some great friend time, and dessert!!    Interestingly enough, at some point during the day we were talking about personalized items and how you NEVER see anything with my name on it.   Fast forward a few hours when I was opening my gifts and found this wonderful stepping stone for my garden!!
I can't wait to get outside on Saturday and plant a few new flowers and place my stone!   LOVE it!

Monday we woke to yet another winter storm.  This one was much less severe than the last, with just enough snow to cover the ground, but not enough to make an issue with travel or extra curricular events.    Ironically, the heating and A/C guy came to do our spring maintenance and make sure the A/C was ready for the summer.  Poor guy almost froze out there in the snow and cold.    School work was pretty steady during the day.  Lindsey is down to three classes, spelling, literature and math so her day's wrap up pretty early.    Olivia is still working through Algebra 2, biology, art and her WWII unit study.

Tuesday I spent the day helping my brother paint some of the rooms in his house.  I have never been a fan of painting, so I 'll be glad when this part of the project is done, but it's nice to get to hang out with him while we're working.  Unfortunately while I was there we found out that our 1st cousin passed away.   If you've followed my blog for long, this is the same cousin who we had living with us during  2014-2015.   The girls worked on their lessons while I was gone, one of the perks of having teens/tweens who are independent.

Wednesday I was doing doctor visit duty with a family member.   The it was back home to check school work.   I also went ahead and made final decisions for curriculum and placed the order.  I'll  be sharing about that in the next few weeks once boxes arrive and I have something to take photos of.   In the evening we were off to church.

Thursday Olivia started her day with an Algebra 2 test.   Can I be honest?  I dread those math test days.   However, this week I was thrilled when I graded the test and she had only missed 2 questions and got an A!!   Oh happy day!     I'm working on purging our basement and preparing for a yard sale...this is almost as bad as painting!   In the evening my husbands softball team played a tournament game, which they won.   This meant they had to play a 2nd game back to back.   We didn't get done until 10:30!!   The good news is they won the tournament!   The bad news is we didn't get home until 11pm and he had to be up at 3:30am to get ready for work.

Friday (today) is of course co-op.   The temperatures are supposed to be in the high 70's to low 80's so I'm hoping to take my class out to sit in the sun and do some nature walking.   In the evening the girls and I will be going to a ladies fellowship meeting at church.

This week, I shared a review of the movie Princess Cut.   I highly recommend this movie if you have tweens/teens getting ready to enter the world of dating vs. courting.

How was your week?
