Weekly Wrap Up - Senior Moments

No, I didn't suddenly get forgetful, that's not the type of "senior moments" I'm talking about. Monday we had Olivia's senior portraits done, and it was one of those things that really drove home how fast this last year with her is going. We didn't do formals this go around, we'll do those in the spring. This round of photos were the outdoorsy ones that show who Olivia is. My best friend, Donna, did the photos.  I haven't seen them all yet, but here are a few that she showed me and I just love them.
We didn't have formal lessons on Monday since we were out and about getting photos done.  The girls were back at the neighbors house helping with packing in the early afternoon and Lindsey had babysitting at our church in the evening.   I'm a big proponent of family dinner time, so we ended up eating at nearly 9pm when everyone got in for the evening.  We had breakfast for dinner (bacon, eggs and fresh baked cinnamon rolls).

Tuesday Olivia had her college class during the morning, and Lindsey worked on her regular academics at home.  I'm really hating that we didn't switch to the Teaching Textbooks online math before now, it's wonderful!  The afternoon was filled with more packing, and Lindsey's play practice for the upcoming lantern tours at the museum.

Wednesday morning I had to run a family member to a doctor appointment.  The girls worked on their school work while I was gone and then back to the neighbors for more packing in the afternoon. For the record, if you've lived in a house for 57 years, it might be a good idea to purge on a regular basis, ahem.

Thursday we were up early and out the door to get the girls to their 6-month dental checkups. There were no cavities, so we celebrated with a run to Krispy Kreme.  The "hot now" sign wasn't on, so we tried their "Chocolate Cream Pie" donut....delish.   We were home mid morning, and the girls got right on their school work.  The afternoon was more packing at the neighbors.  In the evening, I headed out to our local homeschool support group's monthly meeting.

Friday Lindsey got up early to get her schoolwork done before going to work at the museum.  It's been really cold here so she wore her wool stockings, gloves and petticoat. Just the thought of all that wool makes me itchy but it kept me warm.  Olivia finished up her weeks work mid morning.   The afternoon involved yet another round of packing the neighbors.  The moving truck comes on Monday so we're getting down to the wire now.

Have a great weekend!
