This was our last official week of “summer break”. Olivia and Lindsey finished up the last of their summer math school work and we’re gearing up for next week as we officially start the new year. Library books have been picked up and schedules are at the ready, and I’ve rearranged our current school room. Math is still up in the air since the office supply store dropped the ball and didn’t get my printer finished this week as they promised (two weeks ago). I’m not amused.
The weather has been incredible here and we’ve taken full advantage of it. My husband was off on Monday and we spent the day going to the park and playing together as a family. We picked up new backpacks for the girls and went out to dinner. It was a great family day with no set schedule.
We’re also preparing for the upcoming winter, yes really. We had a huge load of wood delivered this week and have spent a few hours together getting it stacked in the woodshed. It’s been in the 70’s here during the day and 40’s & 50’s at night!
Any type of work can be enjoyable if you have the right mindset.
We’ve had a few meetings this week outside the home. Some more productive than others, some that leave me questioning what on earth was I thinking when I agreed to this?
I hope you’ve all had a great week. Be sure to link up with the Weekly Wrap Up!
Wow that is a lot of wood. Well done getting it piled up!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the printing this week!
Hi Lucinda! Yes, that IS a lot of wood, hopefully it'll be enough to keep the house warm all winter long! Thanks for stopping by!
