First I want to back up to Saturday (12/21) and say that the Christmas VBS was a huge success! We had 24 kids show up and we had a blast. My girls lead the music time and we had live skits, a few pretaped skits and lots of crafts followed by a birthday party for Jesus. Each child went home with a bag of handmade crafts, a Christmas present and knowledge of the Christmas story. We even had two who prayed to receive salvation!! Woot!
The rest of the weekend was a blur of baking and candy making. We made our typical fudge, peanut butter balls, sugar cookies, gingerbread, no-bakes, chocolate chip, mint chocolate chip, white chocolate macadamia and peanut butter kisses. Monday Tom and the girls went out on their “elfing” expedition around town while I cleaned the house.
We went to a candle light service, a Christmas cantata, Christmas Eve with the in-laws and Christmas day with my family. I’m e.x.h.a.u.s.t.e.d. We’ve also spent a lot of time playing with new games, check them out here! I downloaded all of my 2013 photos off my computer before writing this post, but you can pop over to my other blog, S.A.H.M. I Am! and see a few glimpses into our week.
