Here are a few photos from our little "snowmageddon". The bottom photo is our van...buried.
Enjoying a good blizzard takes a little preparation. We hit the library early for books, got lots of snack foods (homemade nachos, yum) and a new game too review. Fun stuff I tell ya!
All activities for Friday, Saturday and Sunday were cancelled. Monday and Tuesday also saw ballet cancelled (the instructors are still snowed in) and piano and 4-H were cancelled too. Let me tell you folks, having 5 straight days of being home in the evenings with nowhere to rush to has been A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!!
Academics have still been going on undisturbed. We are officially past the half way mark in our school year in all subjects. If I'm judging it right we should be finished by mid May. Thus far I've determined that the biggest issue academically has been science, so be expecting to see changes there for next year.
I've got some great product reviews in the pipeline. One of our favorites, that I can't wait to share with you is this:
Linking up with the Weekly Wrap Up and Collage Friday.
That looks like a fun week! I kind of love it when scheduled activities are canceled. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm telling you, it just about made me want to boycott all extra curricular activities from here on out!
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
Your house looks as buried under by snow as mine! Wasn't it fun, though. We love posts about homeschooling at our Literacy Musing Mondays Linkup http://www.foreverjoyful.net/?p=782
ReplyDeleteIt was a great deal of fun! The snowball fights and sledding were a blast...and there were nachos, need I say more? Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteAwesome! I can't wait to hear about the Dragon and The Raven. We weren't picked for that review.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Dawn
Mine are LOVING it! We're on round 3 of listening to it, and we've only had it since Thursday!
