Expect to see lots of snow photos next week, ok?
This week I assigned Little House in the Big Woods to Lindsey for her reading time. By chapter 2 she complained it was boring. "All they do is sit around and churn butter and listen to Pa play the fiddle. I need excitement, I need adventure!:
And so, I gave her excitement and adventure. I went to the library and picked up Genghis Khan - 13th Century Mongolian Tyrant for the little darling to read. By chapter 2 she said "Are you nuts? This thing is going to give me nightmares!"
Fine, go back to churning butter and listening to the fiddle. Don't toy with me little girl, ahem.
I'm happy to say that even though I dropped the ball on photos last week, I do have a few this week. Granted they are from last weeks trip to the Jump Park, but hey, it's not a boring post this week. Grins.
Linking up with the Weekly Wrap Up.
hope you are safe with the storm and baking sounds perfect! Enjoy and looking forward to seeing those pictures
ReplyDeleteIt's been a good weekend. We only got about 18inches of snow, but it's still enough to shut down our city and give us a weekend at home! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteWe really have to make it to one of those jump parks soon. My kids love the Little House series. They never think it is to boring. Different strokes for different folks.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Dawn
The jump parks are lots of fun, and great exercise, an hour is about all you can handle. She loves the Little House show, not sure what it is about the books that don't do it for her.
DeleteI do enjoy a good blizzard; there's nothing quite like holing up at home with fires and fresh baking/ cooking smells while watching the white stuff pile up outside.. but we;re only supposed to get an inch or two.
ReplyDeleteWe got 18 inches,so that wasn't bad, but a far cry from the 36" they'd predicted. Still, cookies and nachos and popcorn were lovely.
