February is here, and according to the groundhog, spring is on it's way. I'm hoping the little guy is right, but I'm not holding out any hopes. The gray, rainy days of February are a stark reminder that we're not out of the winter woods yet. I am already thinking about my gardens though, and deciding what I'll plant this year.
I realize that we're now half way through basketball season and I've yet to share any photos. That is mostly due, in part, to the fact that this team is fast and I get lots of blurry photos, ahem. None the less, here are a few. As you can see, Lindsey is still the shortest in the league. She hasn't done a lot of scoring this year, but I finally see why they say she's a good point guard. She's had to guard some really good players this year and has seriously impacted their ability to score.
Academics have gone well this week. Unfotunately it has been one of those weeks where some character issues have shown their ugly heads and I've had to address those. It's funny (and I don't mean ha-ha) how an area that has never been an issue can suddenly become an area that you know has to be dealt with quickly, but also one that has the potential to be an ongoing issue. Yeah, those are not the days that make for great blog fodder...but those are the days that prove to be far more weighty than grades.
I know January was a slow blog month for me, with little more than my Weekly Wrap Up posts to show. Beginning this month you'll be seeing more product reviews, and starting in March you'll have at least one good encouraging post per month to enjoy. I'm wrapping up a few long term commitments, and hoping that will free me up to do more writing. Also, the curriculum choices wen went with this year don't lend themselves well to my love of hands on projects, so I'll be looking at ways to rectify that as well.
Meanwhile, here is another teaser for this weeks new product review. I bet you can guess which company this goes with, huh?
Linking up with the Weekly Wrap Up.
I can guess because I am reviewing it also. Sometimes it is nice to have a week with nothing big in it. I hope you find some hands on products you like.

I'm liking this review too!
DeleteStopping by to say hi - enjoy the weekend!
ReplyDeleteHi to you too, and thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI have got to where I video my daughter playing basketball and then replay, pause and screenshot for non-blurry pics. We had a non-exciting week, also. And I love those sometimes!
ReplyDeleteThat's a good idea, I'll have to see if I can figure out how to do it. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteIt really is amazing how those character issues can crop up so quickly.
