Weekly Wrap Up - Summer Break Week 6

This past weekend, I took the girls on an epic field trip.   Well, epic is probably a stretch, but it was really cool and it involved a single engine airplane ride.   I've flown many times, in large planes so this was a first for me in a small plane, and a first for the girls in any type of aircraft.   There are lots of great photos in the field trip blog post, but here's a teaser, just to get you to pop over and take a peek.
Olivia has been plowing through some serious Algebra work this week.   She's really trying to get this program completed so she can move into Algebra II as soon as we start the new academic year.   Unfortunately technical issues with the site threw a monkey wrench in her progress today.  I now remember why I don't don online classes, too many things that can go wrong.

Tuesday was 7/11 and that meant free Slurpee's at 7-Eleven and it was also "Cow Appreciation Day" at Chick-fil-a, so we had free lunch and a nice cold treat too.  By the way, the cotton candy Slurpee is delish!
Sports are starting to gear up more heavily.  I had a volleyball coaches meeting on Wednesday night.  Olivia had a volleyball practice Thursday, and both girls have basketball practice today (Friday).  The basketball coach has persuaded Lindsey to come to the practices and see if she would like to play on their JV team this winter.

Today we have chiropractor appointments first thing (thank goodness), then we'll be grocery shopping, skating with friends and of course heading out to basketball in the evening.  Not sure how much good the chiropractor will do for Olivia, since she tends to fall a great deal while skating.  But at least I'll get everything lined back up and in place, and hopefully get rid of some of my hip and knee pain.

How has your week been?
