Olivia's working a cat sitting job this week, so we were up early on Monday to go take care of that. Then we stopped at the gym and got in a workout. The girls have been going in the evenings some, but this was the first time I'd been there in over a year. Hoping to get back in the habit at least 4 days a week. Schoolwork is pretty minimal now, Olivia only has Spanish and art left. Lindsey has Spanish, spelling, math and science. Our school day is pretty short at this point.
Tuesday we did the cat sitting gig, then dropped Olivia off to work at the farm. Lindsey and I still headed to the gym and got our workout in. Then it was back home for an algebra test and also a Spanish Unit test. Olivia completed her unit test when she got home from the farm, and she finished up her art course for the year.
Wednesday Olivia was out the door super early to make the trek to Danville, Virginia to help make a supply deliver to the God's Pit Crew headquarters. This group helps in disaster situations, helping rebuild homes, provide food, cleaning supplies & blessing buckets; along with workers to help on the ground. They are currently helping with the Nebraska flooding and Alabama tornado disaster areas. Lindsey and I went to the gym, then home to work on school work and house work.
Thursday we were out the door early. By 9am we'd been grocery shopping, seen the chiropractor, fed the cat and were on our way to drop Olivia at the farm. Lindsey and I ran by the library, then put the groceries away and went back to the gym. Lindsey doubled up on her school work while I worked in the flower beds and gardens all afternoon.
Friday morning was a bit different. It was Lindsey's first day back to work at the museum. We dropped her off before 9am, then we headed out to meet the gal Olivia works for, to do boot shopping for Olivia's birthday gift. Then we were off to pick out a birthday cake for the upcoming Sweet 16 party (how is that even possible?). Olivia and I hit the gym later...five days in a row for me, go me! In the evening, Lindsey had a 3.5 hour babysitting class at the Y. She'll finish up her second day of classes on Saturday and then will be both CPR and First Aid Certified.
In case you missed it, earlier in the week I shared our 2019-2020 Curriculum Picks on the blog. Some of the picks are brand new to us, so I'm hoping it's all a good fit.
Have a great weekend!
Our days are nice and short now too but I think we still have a good month before everyone finishes up EVERYTHING... we take each book done as a small victory though!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to you and the girl on reaching the point where your school days can be so short! We are doing a bit of traditional cramming. Hope the Sweet Sixteen celebration is a great one - and I often ask myself how it's possible that my kids are all grown up, or almost. The time really does go quickly! Thanks for linking up!
ReplyDeleteOur son is almost done with is school year, but Anne has a ways to go. She is probably looking at June.
