Weekly Wrap Up–The One With All The Issues

That title makes you wonder, doesn’t it?  Yeah, well, it was one of THOSE weeks.

Monday was a nice day.  We all slept in.  Then went out to look for used furniture, which we didn’t find.  Played a round of putt-putt golf and then came home and made home made pizza for dinner.

On Tuesday I continued my spring cleaning.  I spent all day working on the sun porch.  All those windows are beautiful to look out of, but a pain in the butt to wash.  Then a severe storm moved in.  With it came acorn sized hail, terrible winds and several inches of rain.  My newly planted garden fell victim to the hail.  We’ll have to replant.

While cleaning I decided to give away all of my African violets.  I posted them on our local freecycle page and had a lovely older couple come by to pick up the flowers.  They were cat people, I’m horribly allergic to cats.  I helped them put the flowers in their cat car.   Breathing became increasingly difficult and by bedtime, I was thinking I may need to go to the ER.  I never slept, but spent the night praying and gasping for air.

Wednesday morning brought a little relief to the breathing issue as we headed to Olivia’s first orthodontist check up.  She’s being a trooper.  This month she picked burgundy and bubble gum colors.  She’ll get new wires on the next visit.

I came home from that little jaunt to find an email from my part time employer…effective as of that email I was unemployed as there was no money to pay me with.

We went to church and Olivia and the youth group headed out to work on an elderly ladies house.   We returned home to find that all the heavy rains had driven an ant colony into the sun porch (the one I spent all day cleaning on Tuesday).  I sprayed a ton of ant spray all over the windows and window sills and went to bed, leaving a gazillion little ant carcasses waiting to be cleaned up.

Thursday was the transitional meeting for our homeschool support group Board.  It’s official, I’m the president…and it only too four and a half hours…gah!   The girls had a great time playing with the other board members’ kids.   Then it was home to clean the sun porch again and get rid of the little ant carcasses.

Friday was Olivia’s annual check up.  She had to get two shots, (tetanus and meningitis).  Technically she was supposed to get the HPV, but there’s just too many unanswered questions about that one, so we opted out of it.   Then it was on to set up a table at our local used curriculum sale for several hours.   I made a whopping $12.

I thought this would be a good time to encourage myself and you, because just retyping all that makes me a bit blue.  So, I popped over and read my own post, Keep Moving Forward, and suggest that maybe you do the same!

Here’s to a better week next week!
