My birthday was this past weekend. I'm quickly closing in on the half century mark, and it's funny how that doesn't seem nearly as old as it did 30 years ago. This was one of the most enjoyable birthdays I can remember in a long time. I got to spend a chunk of the day with my best friend, my brother (he makes the best birthday cake) and of course the husband and kids.
I wrote some lovely tips last week about not losing yourself and then realized I was preaching to the choir, and the choir was me! So yeah, be expecting "some changes are coming" posts, grins. Along those lines, I've been doing some self evaluation and have really decided I'm just not happy with where I am in some areas. Then I saw this little blurb on Facebook, and I realized that this is a big issue for me.
Our school days are going by quickly. We only have spelling, Latin and math left, with Olivia also finishing up her last science unit. I'll be honest, I'm just waiting to be done. I don't mean that in a bad way, like it's torture for me, but I'm ready for a little break, much like many of you.
I ordered all of next year's curriculum this week, and also the standardized tests as well. The test packets should arrive early next week. I'm hoping to spread the testing out over several days and have it back in the mail by the end of the week. Let's see how that works out, grins.
The blog wasn't quite as busy this week as it was last week, I only have two additional posts for you. The first is an encouraging little article about Every Day Love. We also shared our 6th Grade Curriculum Choices for 2016-2017, maybe you'll spot something that looks like a good fit for your family! Our ninth grade picks will be coming out next Tuesday.
This week's new review item has arrived. Well, the video portion via the internet is in place, but the student workbook isn't here yet. I can't wait to get started on this one with Lindsey.
Linking up with the Weekly Wrap Up.
I'm looking forward to the new posts! I just hit a wall recently asking myself - is this what I really want for me?
