Let me tell you, trying to draw the Eiffel Tower on frosting almost
caused a major melt down on my part. Around 10:30pm I called in
backup, as in I woke Olivia up and asked her to help. It was
delicious, even it it wasn't structurally sound, ahem.
Without much warning, my husbands work shut down for Labor Day week. Not kicking the husband, but it's hard to get our schoolwork done when he's home, so we took the week off. We celebrated Lindsey some more, did a lot of yard work and kicked back a bit. This is our last quirky schedule change for a while, so I'm hoping (fingers crossed) that we can get into a steady routine from here on out.
On the blog this week I've shared a couple of product reviews. The first is Apologia Astronomy, which has now become our middle school science for this year. The second review is the CHSH Download Club, LOTS of great downloads here.

My oldest daughter love Paris also. Although she'd studied abroad, she never got to go there. Glad your daughter had a great birthday.
ReplyDeleteWow - I'm impressed with that frosting! And I rather like the Eiffel Tower at that jaunty angle. :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like an awesome birthday!!
ReplyDeleteWe can't get much done with dad home either. The cake came out great.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Dawn
I hear ya on the not getting much done when dad is home - we did the same. 😜
ReplyDeleteWe tend to take the day off (or week off) if dad is home too; not that he gets in the way but it does tend to through our routine off. I love your Eiffel tower cake; I am a huge fan of France! Went on a trip when I was in high school and just enjoyed it so much.
