Kwik Stix (Review)

Little kids love arts and crafts.   Moms of little kids hate the mess that comes with arts and crafts.   Sometimes the thought of the mess outweighs the desire to let the littles be creative.  If you're one of those moms (and we've all been one of those moms) I have great news for you!!  Kwik Stix are here to make your art time more enjoyable for everyone!

Kwik Stix are solid tempera paint, in a twist up cylinder (think glue stick).   The paint dries in 90 seconds, and it does not require water or paint brushes!   For the average child, it's virtually mess free! Kwik Stix come in "metalix", "neon" and standard primary color palettes.

These solid tempera paints work well on construction paper, paper plates, poster board, canvas....pretty much anything that you'd use regular paint on.

Using the Metalix, on black construction paper gives a shimmery effect, as if illuminated by starlight.

I saw that the trend this fall is painted pumpkins, so I thought I'd try out the neon colors on one of our pumpkins.   Here is the finish result inside and outside by lamplight, cool huh?
Kwik Stix are now available at Target.com, and beginning November 1, 2017 you'll be able to pick them up at your nearest Target as well.   But, in the mean while, you can WIN free Kwik Stix!!

Give Away Has Ended.
To win a free set of Kwik Stix, leave a comment below and let me know what you think you (or your kids) would use these fun paints to create!   This give away is open to U.S. residents only.   A random winner will be picked on November 25.  Winners will have 24 hours to respond via email with their shipping information, or another winner will be picked.

Good luck!!

  1. Ooo, we would use these on our Christmas ornaments! We've got several planned and this would be so much less mess with 9 kids than regular paint with brushes.

Our kids would love to use these at VBS in the summer, Upward Sports Season to make signs and banners and the kids at Love INC would really like to use them as our 2-4 yr class loves crafts.
