Our biggest news this week is that we finished our academic year! I now officially have a senior and a freshman. While we were on a roll, we knocked out our end of the year testing as well. Once the results come back I'll send a copy, along with our "Notice of Intent" letter to the school board and we'll be compliant for both the year we're finishing up and the beginning of our new year.
Lindsey was thrilled to finally get her costume for the museum. This year's costume allows more room for her to grow. She kept busting out the shoulders in her costume last year. She's back to working several days a week and it seems to be her happy place.
We got the girls 6-month dentist appointments out of the way on Monday, no cavities. We celebrated by going to Krispy Kreme because the "hot now" sign was on, grins. Thursday we got their annual check up/sports physicals completed for the fall volleyball season. Olivia is only 1/4 inch taller than Lindsey, so the doctor told Olivia she just needs to accept that she's going to be shorter than Lindsey...that went over like a lead balloon.
Olivia's pet sitting again this week and next, always nice to have a little cash on hand. And big news at the farm, the first new calf of the season was born. Olivia is in love with the little critter.
I did a lot of weeding and working in my flower beds this week, and I also got the vegetable garden planted. The combination of all that has got my allergies on overdrive at the moment, but it was well worth it. I shared some photos of my flower gardens in a post entitled My Happy Place earlier in the week, if you'd like to pop over and take a peek.
I think that's the majority of our news for the week. I hope you've had a great week!
YAY for the end of school, donuts and no cavities. Your flowers look lovely.

Both in high school will be so fun! I wish I could do a history museum for a summer.
ReplyDeleteKids and height...sigh. They are all over the place and if a younger is taller it usually doesn't go over well. We have that between several right now: Joseph is taller than everyone but daddy. Oliver is taller than Daniel. Samuel is taller than Mason.
That is wonderful!! We are so close.. but not quite done yet. One subject a day is not big deal though. My middle son looks like he'll be the tallest but my oldest son takes heart that he'll always be big enough to beat up his younger brother... Boys!
