Ok ya'll, the fact that this year is officially half way over seems impossible to me. Yeah, I know, I've mentioned before how quickly time is moving, so at the risk of sounding repetitive...TIME IS FLYING!
July 1 was Momma's birthday. She would have been 92. My brother and I went on a little expedition in commemoration of the day. It was good spending time together, and revisiting places from our childhood, and seeing how much those places have changed over the years.
Lindsey also left on July 1 to go spend time the week with my best friend. She had a great week, and here are a few photos from their week.
Olivia returned to work on Monday. She was reassigned to the preschool program, and was shocked to see how much she misses her rowdy, high maintenance kids from the previous camp. Funny how the things we think we dont' like are the things we miss the most sometimes.
On July 4th we walked down to the city park for the annual Happy Birthday America celebration. They had a 5k in the morning, followed by a parade and various activities (food, live music etc) during the day. We went to the parade, then crazy storms moved in and the park had to be evacuated three different times during the day. We went back down around 9pm and met friends to watch the fireworks display.
Friday, Olivia returned to work and Lindsey returned home from her week. We'll have a low key weekend, I think.
I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July celebrating our great nation!
Yes, Time is flying by so very quickly. Glad you all had a pretty good week.

ReplyDeleteTime is flying! It's crazy how much faster it seems to go by as my kids get older and older.
