Monday, Lindsey was up at 6am to get started on her school work, before heading to her early morning optometrist appointment at 7:30am. This was supposed to be Olivia's appointment, but somehow the optometrist office managed to mess that up, and just sending the right kid at the "wrong" time was apparently way too much to ask for. The good news is that she still has 20/20 vision and has no need for corrective lenses. From 9-11am Lindsey babysat and worked on some of her school work that she'd taken with her. She was able to finish up her lessons pretty early (still doesn't care for biology). She then babysat for another family from 6:15pm-8:45 pm.
Tuesday was a regular school day at home, although we did run out mid-morning to pick up library books and drop off the baby blanket. We also found out that Olivia's current employer is going to require those with medical & religious exemptions for the vaccine to have to get tested 3 times per week (M/W/F) in order to keep their jobs. This is utterly absurd to think that someone feeding horses needs to test more frequently than people in the medical field. The evening wrapped up with jiu-jitsu.
Wednesday morning Olivia was up early to work on school work before going to babysit from 9-11. Once she got home she finished her lessons. Once school was done, Lindsey packed her suitcase and got ready to head out of town with my BFF for a few days. This trip was supposed to have happened back in July but had to be postponed. They're crafting, shopping, eating...repeat. I don't even pretend to know what she's doing in this photo.
Pray for our U.S. military and their families, the people in New Orleans and those in Afghanistan in harm's way.
The news is just devastating right now on so many fronts. I am glad your daughter got a small vacation.
