Weekly Wrap Up - Hello Fall!

This week has been more normal than what we've seen for all of September.  Olivia has been house & dog sitting all week, so she's mostly been gone.   I've come to a lull in the estate dealings for the time being.

Monday Lindsey babysat from 8:30-1pm.  She's able to get some of her school work done before she leaves, and then she works on it more during the baby's nap time.  By the time she arrives home in the afternoon, she's usually very close to being finished for the day.  I worked on laundry and more paper work and sorting.  In the late afternoon we went to get an oil change and ran by the car wash for a quick wash.

Tuesday Lindsey was off work and we slept in a bit.  She worked on school work and while she was doing that, I decided to do my fall decorating.  At least, I think I did it Tuesday, it may have been Monday.  Honestly, it's a blur, but it's done.  Olivia had a dentist appointment in the late afternoon, then she came home for dinner and a shower before they headed off to jiu-jitsu.

Wednesday was a gray, rainy day.  Lindsey was up early and knocked out some school work before I dropped her off at work at 8:15.  I picked her up at 1, and I think I spent the day de-cluttering.  Again, it's a blur.  We had crazy storms move in Wednesday evening.   When three different people from your neighborhood text you all at the same time and say their house is "vibrating", it can be alarming...especially when one of those texts is from the teen who is home alone in your house.  We "assume" there was some kind of huge lightning strike, as people all over out city and even further out said they experienced the same odd phenomenon.

Thursday
morning I met my brother for some quality down time.  We went on a jeep ride back through the mountains of West Virginia.  It was a beautiful day, the leaves are already changing back there.  We had a picnic lunch while overlooking a lake, and then made a loop back around.  It was a great day.   I came home and threw dinner on the stove and had a sit down meal with both girls before they went to jiu-jitsu.  It's weird having Olivia gone at night.

Friday morning it was only 47 when we woke up, it was chilly but wonderful!  Lindsey worked 6:15-4:15.  I did a grocery run in the morning.  Then I went and picked Olivia up and took her to lunch and shopping for a comfy reading chair for her room.  So far, we've had no success with the chair, so we may have to order one on line.

I hope you've had a great week.  Happy fall!

  1. I bet that drive felt wonderful! How odd to feel the house vibrating during a storm like that. Your fall decorations are fabulous.
