Weekly Wrap Up - Another Milestone

We did go to the fall festival this past weekend.  The weather was PERFECT, there were several hundred vendors and roughly 50 food trucks from across the state.  We had a wonderful time, knocked out some Christmas shopping and enjoyed a great day.  We (or I) did not take any photos to share with you.

Our week was pretty typical.  Monday morning Lindsey was up early to work on her academics, and then out the door to head to work by 8:15am.   This month, I added some additional reading to Lindsey's American Literature.  I have her reading through some of Edgar Allan Poe's short stories and poems, to go along with the October/Halloween ambiance of the month.  This week she read The Masque of the Red Death and The Cask of Amontillado.   Lindsey now wonders if Poe drank heavily because he was mentally unstable, or if he was mentally unstable because of his drinking.

Olivia is still home during the week, so she's sleeping later and catching up on some rest after months of working 7 days a week.   Once she was up, we headed out to City Hall to vote early for our upcoming November elections.  This was her first time voting, so I walked her through the process.

Tuesday
Lindsey was scheduled to be off, but ended up working 8-12 with family #2.  Olivia spent a large part of her day working on her archery skills and reading.  In the evening the girls had BJJ.

Wednesday was pretty typical, work for Lindsey, the gym for Olivia and general housework and life for everyone else.

Thursday was again pretty typical, work, grocery shopping, BJJ.  Nothing overly exciting.   Olivia applied for a couple of veterinary assistant positions, so we're hoping to hear back from those soon.

Friday is Lindsey's early morning.  She has to be there by 6:15am.  I dropped her off then came home to drink coffee, read and listen to the dog snore.  Shortly after 8am, the HVAC technician arrived to do the fall maintenance on our heating system.  This evening the girls will be going to a teen event with our local homeschool group.  They're having pizza and game night.  I'll be meeting my friend Yvette for dinner (her kids will also be at the teen event).

Have a great weekend!
