Weekly Wrap Up–The Slow Week

This has been just a regular ole week for us.  Nothing overly exciting.  We were supposed to have a cool field trip on Tuesday but the heavy rains postponed our outing.

We’ve finished up all of our academics for the school year, with the exception of Math and Hand Writing.    Lessons move pretty quickly this time of the year.  I’m spending a lot of time working on plans for next year, spring recital props and research.

Olivia completed her year end project for co-op this week.  She based her literature project on Heidi, by Johanna Spyri. She really worked hard on it, and you can read about how she made it here.  But in the meanwhile, here’s a photo of the finished project.

Thursday was my older brother’s birthday.  The girls and I baked him a cake, with homemade frosting and a big pan of stuffed green peppers.   It’s about 90 minutes from our house to his, and the weather was perfect for a drive.   We had a nice visit and then hustled home for ballet.

Today was our next to the last day of co-op for the year.  You can tell everyone’s getting antsy, lots of empty spots in the classes today.  Yearbooks arrived, so at least that’s keeping the natives occupied!

Please continue to pray for the folks who were impacted by the deadly storms in the south.

Linking up with the Weekly Wrap Up and Collage Friday.
