Weekly Wrap Up - Spring Break

The title is a bit misleading.  The public schools here are on spring break, which means out ballet studio is on spring break, which means we've been home in the evenings.  Hallelujah!!   We haven't been off school, because we're pushing through to be done with our year early/mid May.  We will be taking a 13th birthday off later this month.  13, GAH!!

I hope you all had a lovely Easter/Resurrection/Holy Week.  I thought I'd share a few photos from our celebration.  Interestingly, I've never understood why coconut is a big Easter thing.  I love coconut, and am happy to oblige  this phenomenon in my baking and candy consumption, but I wonder how coconut works into the scheme of things?

Science update:   We finally moved out of the mumbo-jumbo, boring part of science that Olivia was struggling with and moved into the anatomy and physiology unit, and ya'll.....she got every single question on her unit test RIGHT!!    This is huge!!

The blog was incredibly busy this week, so be sure to check out posts you may have missed:

5 Days of Tips: Enjoy the Journey

5 Days of Tips: Don't Lose Yourself

5 Days of Tips: Uniquely You and Yours

Memoria Press - Literature Guide Set (review)

Logic of English (review)

I'm finalizing our curriculum picks for the upcoming year, so be expecting to be seeing that popping up in the next week or two.  Meanwhile, look at the awesome review product that arrived this week!  In case you can't read the fine print, tempera paints, in a marker format, and it dries is 90 seconds.  LOVE!!

  3. We are super excited about the tempra paints too. I love the coconut cake. I really need to make one. My first birthday cake was made with green dyed coconut (grass).
