Weekly Wrap Up - Family Fun

The weekend was crisp and cool.  We all went to a fall festival on Saturday, followed by the girls helping with a block party for jiu-jitsu, then a family fish fry with the in-laws and half of the community where they live.  It was a VERY busy day, but enjoyable.

Sunday after church the four of us went to a corn maze and trekked around for a while.  This was not a big maze like the one we visited last year, but it was closer and worked for our schedules better.  They also had a game room on site, so we spent time playing pinball, PacMan and shooting pool.

Monday was Lindsey's first day back at the museum.  It's funny how my history hater finds joy in working in a history museum.  What appeals to her is connecting with the people of the time.  She enjoys the old ways of doing things.  She's finding that getting used to a corset takes a bit of time, but loves how tiny it makes her waist.  She did some of her school work before leaving, some on her lunch break and then finished up after dinner in the evening.  I spent the day working on laundry and scrapbooking, I managed to complete 18 12X12 layouts before I lost my creative mojo for the day.

Tuesday was a regular school day and I met Yvette for lunch.  Jiu-jitsu wrapped up the evening.

Wednesday was regular school, and I had another lunch meeting.  In the evening, Olivia traveled with her BJJ coach to do a seminar at another martial arts school about an hour north of us.  Church wrapped up our evening.

Thursday Olivia was out the door early to go to work.  Lindsey worked on school work while I went grocery shopping.  The in-laws stopped by for an unexpected visit late morning.  Dinner and jiu-jitsu wrapped up our evening.

Friday is school work, house work, laundry and more scrapbooking.  Lindsey's going to a college volleyball game with friends in the evening.

Have a great weekend!

  1. 18?! That wonderful. I finally settled in for some scrapbooking this weekend and I think I got 10 or 12 pages done. It sounds like you had lots of fall fun. We haven't been to any festivals or corn mazes or anything this year.
