Weekly Wrap Up - Fall Festivities and Traditions

Over the weekend we went to my brother's annual fall weenie roast, now dubbed the "Great Pumpkin Party".   Both girls had to work, so Tom and I drove together to the beginning of the party and then the girls drove out together later.  We had a great time sitting around the fire pit with friends and family.

Monday, Lindsey worked at the museum all day.  They set up a casket in the parlor and she and the other interpreter were in "mourning" for visitors during the day.  We had dinner and watched "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" while waiting for trick-or-treaters to come by.

Tuesday Lindsey completed 2 days of school work to make up for being gone Monday.  She had lantern tour practice from 4-5pm, and jiu-jitsu wrapped up the evening for both girls.

Wednesday was a regular school day, with church in the evening.

Thursday was regular school and grocery shopping routines.  The in-laws came by for a visit as well.  The evening both girls were back at jiu-jitsu.  Lindsey's blue belt test will be this weekend.

Friday morning, Lindsey had a babysitting job for parent/teacher conference meetings, then she came home to get her school work done.  My husband had a vacation day.  He and I went to do some early Christmas shopping.  It amazes me that some stores have their fall decor on clearance for 60% off, and Christmas is 66% off. The season is over before it even gets here, which is crazy to me.  In the evening, I dropped Lindsey off for her youth group weekend retreat.  The rest of us went out to dinner and then headed home.

I hope you all had a great week!
