Weekly Wrap Up - Lindsey Earns Her Blue Belt

There wasn't anything overly exciting this week.  Olivia's at various horse farms on an ever changing rotation.  Lindsey is spending a lot of time at the museum both for costumed interpreting and for Lantern Tour Practices. School work gets done along the way.

Tuesday was of course election day, bizarre as that tends to be anymore. This was Olivia's 2nd time to vote, so she's a pro now.

Thursday I met my BFF for lunch.  We live about 2 hours apart, so we meet halfway at a little cafe.  It's always a good time when we get together, even for a quick lunch.

Friday we had torrential rains, so we went to the chiropractor and then hunkered down for the rest of the day.

Saturday, Lindsey had her Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu blue belt test.  Like her sister, she memorized the entire test, so they've set the bar high for anyone who tests after them in this particular gym.  In addition to the skills test, she ended up having to roll hard with the two female blue belts in the gym (one being her sister).  Both Liz and Olivia outweigh Lindsey by a good about 25 pounds, and both are far more aggressive than Lindsey too. The 10-15 minutes of rolling was harsh, but she hung in there. She was completed exhausted, and honestly almost fainted during the belt ceremony from fatigue, but she earned her belt and is happy.
