Weekly Wrap Up - Box Week

Happy Friday!!   It was box week out our house.  Those of you who are new to homeschooling may be asking what on earth that means.   It means the humongous box of next year's curriculum arrived.  I have been so excited looking through the new picks.   I'm  especially thrilled  about our choices for Olivia's science and geography and Lindsey's history!

Olivia went back to work at the museum this week.   She was so happy to be back on site and get to work in the Native American Village.   This has also inspired her to finish up the school year, as she can't dedicate as many hours until lessons are complete.

We all had our annual eye exams.  Lindsey's eyesight is still perfect.  Olivia still needs glasses but refuses to wear them so we opted for contact lenses for her.   I have entered the world of bifocals.   I'm hoping the new glasses will be in next week.  I'm always having to take my glasses off to read or do crafts/sew, then I can't see far enough to be able to know where I've laid them...sigh.

Our latest review products arrived this week.   Funny story.  When the logic books arrived, Lindsey asked "Why did you order THAT?  You're already a very logical thinker!"  "It's for your sister."   "oooooh!"    Yeah, I'm thinking she'll be studying this as well, ahem.

This week on the blog, I shared our 9th Grade Curriculum Picks for the upcoming year, and a little extra encouragement in Confrontation - the Seed For Change.
